Berman.

All of my shoots are unique, but recently I had a *very* special shoot with an ailing golden retriever.  Berman is an older gal who is so loved by her family, they couldn't stand the thought of not having photos of her, even if half of her was shaved down from a recent procedure.  Through some creative composition, and spot editing in post production, Berman's coat looks gorgeous and we got some shots that I know they will treasure forever.

Emma flew in to see her old friend... these two share such a special connection.

We had to take advantage of this sun-filled dining room.

Happy girl.

It's been awhile...

Gosh... it's been awhile since i've blogged.  I went on a two-week hiatus while I was off getting married, and the two weeks before that were sheer CRAZINESS, including more shoots packed into a fortnight than i've ever attempted.  It was... extremely fun, and a little masochistic.  I think, though, the photos that came out of that crazy two weeks were some of my best yet, and i'm really looking forward to sharing them.  Let's start with the an awesome family shoot, shall we?

When Sarah contacted me she said she wanted pictures of her two golden retrievers, and maybe we could see if we could get the kids in some of the shots too.  When I walked into the house I knew there was no way I was leaving without photos of these kids. They.were.adorable.

You can see the sheer fun we had through the pictures, the kids were GREAT sports and really hammed it up for the camera. Did I mention one of the players here was a golden retriever puppy?? Because oh yeah... if there wasn't enough 'cute' present in these photos already, throw that into the mix and we're really in business!

I love this "4-shot" of the part of the shoot where we took pics with the kids.
They were just SO adorable with the dogs. And the dogs were very patient with them.

Wrigley is such a wise boy.

I love this shot for a few reasons. Buzz looks so cherubic in that swath of light, while he's doing something very devious... chewing on his dad's slipper :)

Wrigley chillin' in the kitchen. I'm a sucker for lens flare.

Have you ever seen a dog with such a great smile?

Wrigley checkin' out the scene.

The boys.

Feels good to be back in the bloggin' saddle again. How was the end of everyone's July? August is a BUSY shooting month for this gal, so i'm looking forward to sharing some great new stuff!
