Wrigley & Sedgwick

On a beautiful Saturday in July I set off to shoot Wrigley and Sedgwick in their home.  We knew we wanted to do one part of the shoot in-home, and one part outside, but we hadn't decided where we'd go before I headed over.  The shots in the house were coming out great, but man oh man, am I happy we decided to go out and see what mother nature could offer.  We ended up in Lincoln Park proper, among the daylilies and foliage we got some really spectacular shots.  I couldn't have been happier with the way these turned out and I think the client feels the same :).

The client specifically asked for this type of shot after seeing it in my portfoilio. I think theirs came out great, and I was SO happy Wrigley and Sedgwick were such great subjects!

Sedgwick in the park. I tend to really love shots where 'dogs are just being dogs'- and i feel like Sedgwick here is just catchin' a whiff of whatever's going by.

Sedgwick with his buddy Wrigley just off in the background.

Wrigley looked so perfectly at peace as the breeze blew his fur just so. ha!

Sedgwick and his mama.

Like what you're seeing? Shoot me an email today to set up a shoot. I'm currently scheduling September shoots... fall shoots are the best! ammonsld@gmail.com | 215.990.2399

It's been awhile...

Gosh... it's been awhile since i've blogged.  I went on a two-week hiatus while I was off getting married, and the two weeks before that were sheer CRAZINESS, including more shoots packed into a fortnight than i've ever attempted.  It was... extremely fun, and a little masochistic.  I think, though, the photos that came out of that crazy two weeks were some of my best yet, and i'm really looking forward to sharing them.  Let's start with the an awesome family shoot, shall we?

When Sarah contacted me she said she wanted pictures of her two golden retrievers, and maybe we could see if we could get the kids in some of the shots too.  When I walked into the house I knew there was no way I was leaving without photos of these kids. They.were.adorable.

You can see the sheer fun we had through the pictures, the kids were GREAT sports and really hammed it up for the camera. Did I mention one of the players here was a golden retriever puppy?? Because oh yeah... if there wasn't enough 'cute' present in these photos already, throw that into the mix and we're really in business!

I love this "4-shot" of the part of the shoot where we took pics with the kids.
They were just SO adorable with the dogs. And the dogs were very patient with them.

Wrigley is such a wise boy.

I love this shot for a few reasons. Buzz looks so cherubic in that swath of light, while he's doing something very devious... chewing on his dad's slipper :)

Wrigley chillin' in the kitchen. I'm a sucker for lens flare.

Have you ever seen a dog with such a great smile?

The boys.

Feels good to be back in the bloggin' saddle again. How was the end of everyone's July? August is a BUSY shooting month for this gal, so i'm looking forward to sharing some great new stuff!
